The Wall Street Journal has an article about Applebee's swift decline in sales. The chain is trying to reinvent themselves by becoming more upscale. Two of the ways they are doing this are:

1. using whole pieces of lettuce on burgers, instead of chopped lettuce

2. declaring that from now on, Jose Cuervo will be used in maragritas.

The mind boggles at the sophistication.
