The National Intelligence Estimate kind of bewilders me. Or, more precisely, the response to it.
Why aren't Democrats making more noise about the fact that the al Qaeda wing that is supposedly poised to attack us was wholly created as a result of the Iraq war? "Al Qaeda in Iraq" is a Sunni group that is essentially a legacy of Bush administration incompetence.
Why isn't there a bigger stink about the total failure of the Bush administration to kill bin Laden?
Why, more directly, is nobody loudly exclaiming and getting political traction with the clear truth that the decision to invade Iraq was a double screw job since it meant ignoring Afghanistan and Pakistan while fertilizing terrorism in Iraq?
How can the Bush administration get away with this absolute failure AND get away with these outrageous claims of executive power?
The Dems are really a bunch of toothless old he-grannies. It is appalling.
