And speaking of things Mexican, I did want to point something to our friends at Burro Hall, after reading the discussion of the comely scorpion shaped beard.

The Colonel walked directly into the nexus of trans-Pacific Mexican-Korean tension proudly sporting this prized posession:


which is one of two choice scoprion belt buckles to make their way here. Close observers will recognize the belt to be imitation ostrich of the highest order (yes it is unorthodox not to wear the matching imitaiton ostrich buckle). I was dissauded by forces more rational than I also coming to Korea not to bring my imitation ostrich-shouldered suit (a suit this same party finds alarming because it is not just imitation ostrich-shouldered but of a particularly unusual shade of orange imitation ostrich).

I did, however, pack the imitaiton caimen tail boots that are essential for travel in these parts.
