Great to contrast this with that story about Japan's (and Korea's) huge internet bandwith. In the USA, we are overloading our inadequate and uncompetitive system (and cutting off customers, who are supposed to always be right) while Japan invrents new technology and gains speed exponentially. Sad.

It's unclear how many customers have lost Internet service because of overuse. So far, only Comcast customers have reported being affected. Comcast said only a small fraction of its customers use enough bandwidth to warrant pulling the plug on their service.
