I got drunk this afternoon with the people in my department, eating jellyfish, abalone, and pork dishes and drinking a $200 bottle of 20 year old scotch and, when that was gone, some kind of 120 proof Taiwanese liquor called Kaoliang. Lots of fun.
Now it has all worn off a bit and I feel like there are two hands gripping the spheres of my brain.
Koreans are really into aged blended scotch. Single malts don't seem to mean much here. But an aged scotch, muy bien.
One of the guys there made a comment I was just thinking about. Referencing my daughter, he said that the best period of someone's life is 4 months old, only you never realize it.
