Man to stand trial for beekeeper murder - Breaking News - National - Breaking News: "A man accused of shooting dead a Sunshine Coast beekeeper and stealing his honey has been committed to stand trial for murder.

Beekeeper Anthony Ross Knight, 41, was found shot dead on his property at Stanmore, near Woodford, 75km north-west of Brisbane, on June 4.

About 8,000kg of honey had been stolen from the Queensland Beekeeping Association quarantine chairman's property.

Donald Alcock, 33, of Tenterfield in northern NSW, was committed at the Caboolture Magistrates Court to stand trial for murder, robbery with violence and stealing at Queensland's Supreme Court in Brisbane."
