Immigration Raid Jars a Small Town - washingtonpost.com

This story perfectly captures a crucial aspect of American life at this time--the unnecessary arrest of a bunch of hard working Guatemalans and Mexican workers (and 2 Israelis and 4 Ukranians?)in a Iowa meatcutting plant that process Kosher beef, disrupting the town and basically screwing things up in all directions for no good reason at all. You don't get much more of an American story than this (unless the invading ICE troops had also nabbed a Republican senator cornholing one of the Homeland Security officers during the bust)
