The ants are all over the place around here. Usually that happens when it is raining a lot, but this summer we have had a mild drought (although it has been raining for the past couple of days). Drought aside, the ants have discovered this house.

A 1000+ pounds of honey on buckets in the kitchen might have something to do with it. The ants have a pretty good trail past the sink and up the wall to the pantry. The cutting board also seems to be a favorite place, one of those noticeable sites that tend to alarm some people given to alarm (me=even keel 24-7 baby!)

But the weird thing is that there are ants all over my computer, crawling out of keyboard. I know there are multiples of these little guys because I crush one and another comes along. Kind of charming, really, if they weren't actually coming out of the keyboard.

You know, ants are a social insect like bees, so I am predisposed to like them. And in any casem when I see an ant all I really see is formic acid with legs.

There are ants in the shower upstairs, which is a new one, and on the bathroom ceiling. Ants by the front door and also in the living room.

My impetus to write this post was something special, however. My wife called me upstairs to show me an ant that had appeared on her upper lip.
