The Online Guide to Whistling Records

As usual, it turns out that I know nothing. I was getting some records ready to mail to a friend as part of my ongoing downsizing and it occurred to me to send him a Whistlin' Fred Lowery record--Fred Lowery whistles gospel favorites. Then we began discussing Fred Lowery and, inevitably, it turns out that there is quite a significant amount of information to learn about the great whistlers.

One thing that was totally new to me was the existence of Brother Bones, a whistler and bones player who also happens to be the writer of "Sweet Georgia Brown", the Harlem Globetrotters theme song.
