Unsullied and Undismayed

This is some of the Albanian polyphonic singing that the US government just granted money to the Albanian government to save, as an intangible cultural treasure. (that sentence sounds like it was translated from the Albanian). There really is a wide array of Albanian music. Much of it is gypsy derived, so will sound more familiar to you if you listen to gypsy stuff from anywhere in the region. But this kind of singing is cool and a bit rare (though not unlike the Bulgarian village singing, to my untrained ears)
