Following the laws of three, I knew another music great was going to die to restore balance to the universe (following Porter Wagoner and Hank Thompson) but who knew it wasn't just a great but perhaps one of the greatest there ever was: Tomas Ortiz of Los Alegres de Teran.

The news of his death is very hard to find online, there don't seem to be any stories about him or Los Alegres that I can find. KEDA Radio (1540 AM) in San Antonio has a mention of it on their website. Other than that, nada.

Perhaps the big Princess Di style media coverage push will be coming when Senor Ortiz is buried at the Garden of Angels in Mission, TX on the 16th?
