My mom, a longtime dynamo of clothes acquisition, has turned her energies to buying clothes for my ever-fattening and insanely cute little daughter. People like to dress up babies, and this impulse is ramped up by an order of magnitude by my mother, who really is a marvel.

How else to explain the need to send four pairs of jeans (3 virtually identical) to Korea?

For some reason, my mom favors clothing covered in cherries. What could this possibly mean?
