Have you heard the term "banana" used by Asian Americans to refer negatively to other Asian Americans? It is a term my students use dismissively to describe certain classmates they don't like (such as Americans studying here for a short term) and also against others. As in, "Oh he's a banana."

It means "Asian on the outside, white on the inside."
