The Democrats have now officially demonstrated themselves to be an utterly useless party as they codify Bush administration illegality regarding wire tapping of American citizens AND protect corporations freely and illegally giving away your information (our information, my information) from legal danger. The Congress has, simply, reaffirmed that the rule of law in the United States is a fiction, they have protected the corporate scumbags who prop up those in power from the only refuge of a free citizenry slowly being throttled by incipient corporate-fascism, which was the courts. So, when the government decides to clearly and forthrightly break the law at will, corporations can follow slavishly right along without any fear that they will pay any price.

This is arbitrary government, which is tyranny, joined at the hip with corporate malfeasance, which is nothing new but now newly liberated from control.
