Time kind of crept by me with the move and all, and I was a day off in my calculations of the exact date anyway (don't rely on your watch is the lesson I have learned since you are the one who set it) but I was pleased to realize suddenly that I hit a milestone on June 30 at 4 pm--one decade of not smoking. The thought occurred to me when I passed a cigarette display and thought to myself "I bet I could smoke a carton of those fucking things right now" followed immediately with the realization of the date's significance. Anyway, having abused that privilege I haven't had even one cigarette in 10 years. Though I have a had a few dreams about them from time to time. Quitting that was assuredly the hardest thing I have ever done, so how about a nice round of applause.
